We are trying some new things at this year’s WhereCampEU, and are super excited to welcome Skobbler who will be running the first location based game at WhereCampEU. Its top secret for now, but all you need to know is that Skobbler will be running a live location based game on the first day, and I think we might have some beer related prizes!

Geolocating The WhereCampEU Venue
Or Geolokalisierung der Where-Camp EU Veranstaltungsort as they say in Berlin. We have sponsors. We have confirmed dates … and now we have a venue.
WhereCamp EU 2011 will be held in the campus of the GLS Sprachenzentrum, one of Berlin’s leading language schools. The site is on Kastanienallee in the Prenzlauer Berg district of what was East Berlin, a deeply cosmopolitan neighbourhood with more than a fair share of bars and restaurants.
Easily accessible by U-Bahn (less than 5 minutes walk from Eberswalder Strasse, Senefelder Platz and Bernauer Strasse stations), by tram and with connections to the S-Bahn system at nearby Alexanderplatz and with gracious thanks to our hosts Nokia, promises to be the best WhereCampEU location yet.

Announcing WhereCampEU 2011

By sludgegulper
Mark your calendars WhereCampers, we are finalising an amazing followup to last year’s big event. Berlin, a city that’s renowned for its design and creativity is hosting WhereCampEU for two days over 27/28 May. We can’t wait, and I suspect neither can you.
When it comes to fashion, art, design and music, the German capital is the city to watch. A global influx of creatives has turned it into a cauldron of cultural cool reminiscent of New York in the ’80s.

Incoming Spring Camp
Its dark and its cold, but Spring is just around the corner and so is another WhereCampEU. All I can say, is that we have a city, a venue and some possible dates. Its not London, and its not in the UK, and it should be around May.
Should be confirming venue and dates very soon now, hold on for an announcement next week.
